The Greater Conroe Arts Alliance is comprised of 21 arts organizations across Montgomery County representing performance, visual, literary and cultural arts.

Our annual Greater Conroe Arts Festival, as well as our annual Greater Conroe Film Festival are dedicated to offering exceptional family friendly
experiences that highlight the work of local artists, Texas artists, and beyond. Join us for two exciting days of fun while supporting the local arts community!

The Greater Conroe Arts Festival will take place on Saturday March 29 from 10am – 4pm at Founders Plaza and Downtown Conroe.

Presented by the Greater Conroe Arts Alliance, this free event offers a diverse array of art activities for all ages, along with Fine Art and Fine Art Craft Vendors, Market & Business Vendors, a Quilt Walk, an Art Auction, Live Music, and Food Trucks. There will be plenty of free activities for the whole family to explore, enjoy, and immerse yourself in.

Featuring an exciting blend of Visual, Performing, Literary, and Cultural Arts, the Greater Conroe Arts Festival will showcase live painters, plein air painting, theater performances, artist demonstrations, 2D and 3D chalk artists, community chalk art event, living statues, and a community pottery-making activity. Enjoy LEGO building, the Kids Art Village, a music petting zoo, a prop petting zoo, face painting, a dance gym, costume character photo ops, a photo contest, a theatre competition, 10-minute plays on stage at the Owen Theatre all day, and much more!

This year, the festival will feature two stages showcasing an incredible lineup of performances. Set to perform on Founders stage are Judi Lanza & Friends featuring Mary McCoy, Conroe Symphony Winds, Jazz Connection, LLWorship, Daybreak Chorus, Montgomery County Choral Society, Ian & Robben Montez (Collection of songs: Elvis, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry & Eddie Cochran). The Texas Stage will feature the Woodlands High School Mariachi Rojo y Verde, Jazz 1485 from Caney Creek High School, Grace Pointe Dance Company, Caney Creek Starlettes an Panteras En Fuego. Plus, experience dynamic theatrical performances by The Players Theatre Company (Songs from Tuck Everlasting & Little Shop of
Horrors), Stage Right of Texas (scenes from Shakespeare in Love), Christian Youth Theater (Songs from You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown and The Sound of Music), and more! Additional festival highlights include the Conroe Art League International Show, on display at the Madeley Fine Art Gallery.

Art Auction – At 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 29th, head to the Founders Plaza Stage for the Festival Art Auction, where you will have the chance to bid on exclusive artworks crafted by talented artists from the Greater Conroe area—that were painted live during the festival! It’s a wonderful opportunity to purchase original pieces of Art while celebrating local talent.

Raffle Tickets – Raffle tickets are available online on the Greater Conroe Arts Alliance website or in person on the day of the festival. Tickets are 2 for $10 or 5 for $20. There are two identical raffle baskets with over $1,500 each of prizes. Baskets include: Performance Tickets, Theatre Tickets, Season Tickets, Coupons, Gift Certificates, Books by local authors, of local history, and local award winning poetry, a hand made Quilt Wall Hanging, Summer camp/Private Music Lessons Gift Certificates & more! Sponsorships and donations – Visit our website to explore the various sponsorship opportunities that help make this incredible family-friendly Arts Festival possible, all while remaining free to the community. All proceeds benefit the Greater Conroe Arts Alliance.

Photo contest – Both professional and amateur photographers of all ages are invited to submit their festival photos to the photo contest for a chance to win $350 in prizes.

Greater Conroe Film Festival 

In 2025, the group debuts the Greater Conroe Film Festival from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. April 5 at the Owen Theatre. 

Tickets are $10 per block or $45 for All Day Pass and can be purchased from the Greater Conroe Arts Alliance website. 

This exciting event will feature films made by local directors, producers, and actors, including several premieres, several award winning films, short films, and documentaries that showcase the stories of local people and places. Tickets prices are $10 for a block or $45 for an all day pass.
