Hunter Laskoskie fishing solo tied for 10th

ling fairly consistently until 8:15, catching 8 keepers before 8:15, and one more later in the day.” Tanner went on to say, “I caught all of my keepers on a swim jig, as I had identified that there was a shad spawn going on around the hay grass, with the wind blowing in on it being the key.”

As mentioned earlier, we had three Teams from MISD which tied for 10th place with the exact weight of 12.96 pounds. The three Teams were Jaxon Carnine and Ian Karson Nelson, Hunter Sumner and Jace Zabiegala, and Hunter Laskoskie and Pearce Caltabiano. If I did not know any better, I would think there was something fishy going on with the THSBA tournament scales!
Combined, the top three Teams from MISD finished in 3rd, 7th, and 10th place respectively, for a total weight of 42.48 pounds on 15 Bass. The First Place Team of Magnolia West placed 2nd, 4th, and 8th place, for a combined total of 45.47 pounds, besting MISD by 2.99 pounds to win the Sam Rayburn event.

The next tournament up for your MISD Fishing Team will be the Regional event on Lake LBJ April the 26th, which at the time of this writing, the results are not in determining which individual teams have qualified. At this event, Regional Qualifiers from the Bayou, Hill Country, and Houston Divisions, will be pitted against one another both as individual Teams vying for scholarships and earning a spot at the State Championship, as well as schools/programs looking for a prestigious Regional Championship, which MISD has earned four.
The Team would like to take this opportunity to thank all its’ Sponsors, Parents, Captains, MISD Staff, and the Community of Montgomery for your support. Most especially, our Co-Advisor Mrs. Toni Luedke for her hard work and dedication to the Team. It takes a Village, and in my humble opinion, this is quite the Fishing Village.
