The Coushatti Trace Chapter, DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution), recently attended the Texas State DAR conference where they received several State level awards including “Outstanding Historic Preservation Project” from the Historic Preservation Committee, “Highest Number of Joint Activities with SAR (Sons of the America Revolution)” from the DAR/SAR/SR Committee; “Outstanding Project” from the Franco-American Alliance Committee and “Outstanding Support of Active-Duty Military”, presented to member Merrilee Gordon from the State DAR Project Patriot Committee. The chapter was also honored to receive a “One Hundred Percent Participation in the President General’s Project” from the National Society DAR President General Pamela Rouse Wright.
