The Conroe Kiwanis Christmas Parade helped kick the holiday season into high gear on Saturday in downtown Conroe.
The parade featured the Conroe Tiger Band, floats, decorated cars and Santa.

Conroe also held its Christmas festival Saturday in Heritage Place Park with two snow hills, a train, pony and camel rides, a petting zoo and live nativity scene.Â

The event is named for the late Toby Powell who was the mayor of Conroe prior to the current Conroe mayor Jody Czajkoski. Powell died in September 2020. He had a love of Christmas and envisioned a home-town Christmas celebration for the streets of downtown.Â
The holiday celebrations kicked off Nov. 28 with the Conroe Christmas tree lighting and Christmas on Main in downtown Conroe.Â
