Chief Buckholtz stated “I would like to commend Conroe Police Detectives Jason and Charlie Roper for their exemplary and immediate response to this criminal spree. This included working their personal time off. They recognized that Conroe citizens and numerous businesses were victimized and they immediately conducted a thorough investigation. Their actions led to the issuance of the arrest warrant for McMillian to stop this criminal spree in its tracks before he could flee the State of Texas. Financial Crimes have become more and more prevalent in the city, as well as across America, and we are blessed to have such dedicated detectives as well as a District Attorney’s Office that will stop at nothing to ensure justice is done.”
