Conroe ISD’s newly-opened Hines Elementary welcomes students for first day of school

Hundreds of students became new Huskies Wednesday morning as Conroe ISD’s new Hines Elementary marked its first-ever first day of school. 

Huskies is the official mascot for campus, located at 27980 Woodbridge Cove Drive in southeast Montgomery County, was built to help relieve crowding at Snyder and Broadway elementary schools.

Erin Mathe is tapped to be the school’s first principal for the kindergarten through fourth-grade campus.

The school has a capacity of 950 students in the Grand Oaks High School feeder zone. Check out Jason Fochtman’s photos from Day 1.
