CHAPTER MEMBER RECEIVES PINS AT MONTHLY MEETING

May 3, 2025 was a special day for Thomas Jefferson Stubbs 2523, Conroe chapter member, Bette Garland. She received her 10 year membership pin from the chapter and also an ancestor insignia pin.
Her ancestor was William Harry C. Winn, he was born July 12, 1843 and died January 31, 1881 and is buried in the Atkins Cemetery in Pope County, Arkansas. Winn married Elizabeth “Mittie” Williamson in 1871. He mustered in with Co B, 22nd Regiment Virginia Infantry CSA
This regiment was organized in July 1861 and included men from various
counties in Virginia. Co. B was commanded by Captain Gordon W. Rife, the
regiment participated in the Shenandoah Valley operations and disbanded
during the spring of 1865.
