During the investigation, it was discovered that Olague was an elementary school teacher at a Chapel Hill ISD school, outside of Tyler, Texas. He also served as a Dyslexia Interventionist, providing support and education to students ranging from kindergarten to third grade, the release states.

There is no evidence currently to support that Olague victimized any of the students he taught, the release states.

Olague is charged with five counts of possession with intent to promote child pornography and is being held in a Collin County jail with bail set at $500,000, said Pct. 1 Sgt. Austin Gay.

Officials with Chapel Hill ISD did not immediately return calls for comment.

Olague was arrested while attending a teacher conference in Plano, Texas as part of a joint collaboration between local authorities and the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

“As this case progresses, the community remains encouraged to report any suspicious activities or concerns related to child exploitation to the appropriate authorities, allowing for prompt action and the protection of our most vulnerable citizens,” the release states.Â
