Axelrad is holding a cumbia night presented by Wonky Power featuring a cumbia dance party with live bands, producers and DJs. This event is held the second Friday of the month and is for ages 21 and up only.
Houston Cinema Arts Festival
The 16th annual Houston Cinema Arts Festival will feature media installations, live performances, interactive panel discussions and filmmaker workshops. This weekend, the festival will celebrate the 30th anniversary of “Reality Bites” with a special screening of the 1990s romantic comedy at River Oaks Theatre.
‘The House of Blue Leaves’
Lone Star College-University Park is presenting “The House of Blue Leaves,” a play by John Guare.
Bellaire Arts and Crafts Festival
The Bellaire Culture and Arts Board restores this event at Paseo Park with over 75 local vendors, food, children’s activities and live music. Beer and wine will be available for purchase. Dogs on leashes are allowed.
Holiday Market at Wildwood at Northpointe
The Holiday Market will feature local vendors, live carolers, free hot chocolate and a raffle to win tickets to “Holiday Follies” at Stageworks Theatre.
The Woodlands Photography Club Annual Contest Exhibition
This exhibition will feature photography created by members of The Woodlands Photography Club as well as refreshments at South County Community Center.
Lone Star Street Dance
Montgomery is holding a street dance with music from classic country to rock at Jacobs Properties. The event will also have bites from local food vendors.
Islamic Arts Festival
The Islamic Arts Society is holding this 11th annual event featuring art and art-related activities for adults and children, live demonstrations of henna, Ebru and calligraphy as well as ethnic food. The event has historically been held at Masjid Al-Salam in Spring but will be at the University of Houston in Student Center South.
Native American Pow Wow
Experience the vibrant sights, sounds and traditions of the Native American culture at the Pow Wow Competition at Traders Village.
Markets for Makers
Shop from over 100 makers, visit an exclusive DIY station, and fill a free tote with items throughout the event held at POST Houston. The market also includes photo walls and the opportunity to enjoy food and drinks at POST Market.
