You can sign out canoes, paddle boats, and there are many opportunities to fish. See photos. We think you'll agree. On two stays there we were fortunate to find that space available each time. Note: they charge $5 for pkgs, but if ordering on Amazon, Amazon has Delivery Hub boxes about 1 mile from the entrance... very convenient and Free. You can also return stuff to Amazon, that you picked up there, as well. Nearby activities: Most activities are geared around RVs a d Boats, but lits if other shopping around. While you choose your site, no stress to come in and find one. There is $3 charge per night for 50 amp. This is probably my only complaint. 30 amps came in and plugged into 50 amp sites with their 30 amps and didn't pay upcharge. I think they should be forced into 30 amp only sites if coming in free. Definitely check out the island and the lake! We enjoyed kayaking out and looking at the big houses. Two laundry facilities and plenty of machines. I love the app to pay and track your laundry! We walked daily thru the park and was easy to get 4 to 5 miles without retracing steps. We can't wait to return!     Unless you park your RV at the new section (all with nice, large, concrete patios) near the entrance (you'll have... read moreUnless you park your RV at the new section (all with nice, large, concrete patios) near the entrance (you'll have to get there before noon to increase chances of getting a spot), you'll likely end up with a pothole-filled dirt and grass spot that will turn into a river when it rains. Almost all of the streets are very rough, so you'll need to go very slow. Fortunately, they're working on two new sections with concrete pads. Hopefully the roads for those will be paved. All that aside, the 50A, water, and sewer connections worked fine. Employees were nice. Free Wi-Fi was available which worked okay the first night but seemingly broke for our remaining two nights. T-Mobile 5G worked fine (80Mbps+ download). Keep your paper with the check-out date so that you can drop it in the out box at the gate on your way out. Would recommend this place if they ever improve their street and site quality. read less - 12/25/2022

They really spend time maintaining it and it looks pretty amazing. The dock area is also convenient if you are into water activities. The one thing we did not really like is the roads and streets used to get to your RV parking spot. The spots itself, at least the one we used, was great. But finding a spot at night is pretty frustrating. In the day, the roads are easier to navigate but still pretty dam confusing. Also even though the pool area is well maintained, the roads are NOT. We were very relieved we have an offroad trailer b/c some of the holes on the road were rough. Staff was friendly and helpful. The people staying at the RV parks are nice? i think? Lili and Amanda made us feel like they were waiting for us. They answered questions for us and also made suggestions of amenities in the campground that we could use. Secondly there are very very few 50 amp service spots available, in fact I consider myself very lucky to have gotten the last spot with 50 amp and concrete pad. Had the weekend not been forcasted with such heavy rains, I firmly believe the spot I got would have not been available. This would have forced me to be on a pad with 30amp service, which my camper would not function fully with Texas heat! Thousand Trails prides themself on appearance and quality of RV allowed in the park, now you need to upgrade all sites to 50 amp service, this is the future of new RV’s. This is another reason I’m very hesitant to purchase a membership. Why and what good does the membership do, when I get no perks of a guaranteed site, at least the state/federal run reservation system lets me see what sites are available and I can reserve that spot. It is very much a disappointment to not see this available at this campground, it would enhance it very much. Very beautiful and well maintained. I think for members you should run the reservation like the state and federal government does for there campsites. Need more transparency for sure and I see great potential!!! read less - 2/25/2022

This park was great for the kids! Ours enjoyed playing at the playground, basketball courts, and inside the activity center. It was cold so we didn't get to use the pool, but it looked very nice. There is also a beach on the lake that looked super nice (again too cold for that). There were lots of activities and even a chili cook off while we were there. Would be a great park to visit in the spring/early summer when it's not too hot or cold in Texas. There are some brand new sites towards the front, but we ended up in G. The older sites could definitely use some love. Our site was uneven, but we've hard worse. Water and elective worked great and the bathrooms near us were clean and updated. There are two laundry rooms that use an app and cost $2 a load. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return. read less - 2/25/2022

Lovely bathhouses that look brand new, or newly remodeled. Everything very clean. Pool is still open so my boys went for a very cold swim, but they were just happy to have the option. Lake Conroe is accessible from the park but there are several dead fish around not sure what's going on with that, so we were not keen to fish there. Everyone super friendly and nice. They all go beyond normal to show us what to expect and to stay there. We will eventually become members. Just an awesome place to bring young kids or enjoy a long stay if desired. There is plenty for all ages. Basketball, tennis, swimming, the lake Conroe boating, horseshoes, Putt-Putt golf, lots of activities for young kids, sand volleyball, weight room, huge facility for banquets or dancing, huge facility for entertainment outside under the huge gazebo. They also have private seating area by the pool. Really nice swimming area. The list kind of goes on and on. It's a great place to go out and have all the fun you need on a nice weekend getaway or long-term stay get! We definitely think it's worth a visit to see it and check it out yourself. They also even have concreted pads for your RVs or motorhomes. They also have the natural rock driveways to really feel like you're camping. They also have small air conditioned hutch that you can stay in. In the front they even have houses that you can buy which is pretty awesome!
