This day Spring Colors were the call of the day as the lovely Belles of the Rebel Joan Of Arc 2721 Chapter, of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, eagerly gathered to celebrate their 8th Anniversary since Chartering, March 27, 2017!
Hostess KELLY CULP HALL graciously offered her Home for this very special occasion, and Co-Hostess (and Sister) CHRISSY CULP BARTON assisted her in the preparations and ~Welcoming~ to all their Charter Members and RJOA Sisters!
The ladies were greeted at the door with hugs and a Champaign Mimosa! Many other beverages were available, and the display of perfectly arranged foods were almost too pretty to eat. Charter Member: LYN HOWARD brought her traditional Battle Flag Cake on silver footed pedestal. It was a perfect day and the Hostesses accommodated all in their gracious and loving manner. PRESIDENT JENNY LEHR sadly regretted that she would be out of state on business, so VICE PRESIDENT CHARLOTTE BELIN Welcomed everyone, and especially the Charter Members and Guests attending were personally introduced. VP CHARLOTTE BELIN Thanked the gracious Co-Hostesses: KELLY HALL and CHRISSY BARTON, and gifted the Hostesses with a lovely pot of Lilies from their Chapter in appreciation of the day. A short business meeting was conducted with all the proper UDC protocols. CHAPLAIN LYN HOWARD gave a most appropriate and loving prayer for the occasion. Even “Belle”- The TEXAS DIVISION ENDOWMENT DOLL FOR THE CHILDREN OF THE CONFEDERACY, traveled to be on display for this special Day! The RJOA gifted “Belle” as an Endowment Doll for Annual Auction at TX Division Forum with all proceeds to go to the TX Div. Children of the Confederacy. The Chapter was so Honored to win her back this year with the Highest Bid, by RJOA LYN HOWARD, it’s original benefactor! “Belle” travels throughout the RJOA year for special occasions to be displayed for Educational, and Historical purposes. Any UDC Chapter attending TX Div. Forum in the State of Texas may bid and possibly win “Belle” for 1 year, which aids in the projects of the TX Div. Children of the Confederacy Organization.
