Heritage Museum of Montgomery County: The Heritage Museum of Montgomery County offers exhibits on the history of Montgomery County, the Mark Clapham art collection, and two adjoining houses displaying photographs and memorabilia from the Conroe Oilfield. Upcoming program: Saturday Pioneer Adventure on Aug. 5 at 1 pm – District Ranger Jason Roesner, from the Sam Houston National Forest, will be at the museum for an exciting and educational program of storytelling and children’s activities. Ranger Roesner is also bringing his special friend – Smokey Bear! Please join us to learn more about the beautiful Sam Houston National Forest, our local treasure of 163,000 acres located in Montgomery, Walker, and San Jacinto Counties. Conroe Art League: The Conroe Art League’s Gallery at the Madeley is at 127 Simonton Street in downtown Conroe. Visit the website www.ConroeArtLeague.com for more on the Conroe Art League. The group’s monthly meeting is set for this Saturday starting at 4 p.m. Come to the general meeting to hear all about what is happening at CAL.  The demo artist will be Donna Rodgers and she will be demonstrating clay sculpture. Bella Bottega and Ardest Gallery: The Bella Bottega artist community is a collective of talented artists of various disciplines who are passionate about helping the local arts community thrive. The gallery has relocated to a new address at 25200 Grogan’s Park Drive in The Woodlands. On Aug. 26 the gallery will have a special event for National Dog Day at the gallery.
