The Rebel Joan Of Arc 2721 Chapter, of Montgomery County, Texas, recommended KENNETH ANDREW MILLER for the Vietnam Conflict Cross of Military Service at the
128th TX Div. UDC Convention in San Antonio. Rebel Joan Of Arc Chapter Officer of Military Service Awards: CYNTHIA CONNORS prepared his formal application for submission and approval. All the Rebel Belles were there to witness this solemn ceremony.
The Ceremony of Bestowal was opened by Texas Division President LOUANN RUBEL, with her Call to the Color Guard, to Present All Military Flags, and Military Service Award Recipients were escorted in with their Military Flag of Honor. The Military Anthems of sung of Army: The Caisson Song, Coast Guard: Semper Paratus,
The Space Force, The Marine’s Hymn, The AirForce Song, and the Navy: Anchors Aweigh. The Texas Division Recorder of Military Service Awards: SANDRA GIARRUSSO, presented the history of the Military Service Awards. The theme of “Giant” was sung by the Texas Belles Choir, led by NANCY BRANTLEY.
For the VIETNAM CONFLICT CROSS OF MILITARY SERVICE:
KENNETH ANDREW MILLER, faithfully and honorably served in thge Vietnam Conflict as an Airman 1st Class in the 3902nd Foreign Military Sales, Strategic Air Command, U. S. Air Force. KENNETH A. MILLER is of the lineal descendant of his Great-GrandFather, John M. Strader who served honorably as a Private in the 1st Regiment, Sibley’s Brigade, 4th Texas Cavalry, in the War Between the States. Therefore The United Daughters Of The Confederacy, in appreciation of his patriotic devotion to Flag and Country, hereby awarded to him at the Texas Division Annual Division Convention:
Cross of Military Service # 4449, and witnessed by the President General, and Recorder General of Military Service Awards.
MR. MILLER is also an Officer in the Sons of the Confederate Veterans:
The Major General Patrick Cleburne’s 7th Texas Infantry- Montgomery County.
Mr. Miller’s beautiful RJOA wife is pictured with him, EVELYN PARKER MILLER.
EVELYN is TX Div. UDC District 111 Treasurer, and RJOA Chairman of Directory, Benevolent Reports, and UDC Magazine Subscriptions for the RJOA Chapter.

Additionally the Rebel Joan Of Arc Chapter recommended and submitted Veteran FORREST CLAYTON LEHR, Lieutenant U. S. Navy, for the Military Cross of Global War On Terror. His Name and Service was also Honored there.
The American Patriot Award was awarded by TX Div. President LOUANN RUBEL & Chairman of Award: CAROL DYSON. And various other Historian Awards were Awarded that evening.
The Prestigious “Jefferson Davis Historical Gold Medal” was awarded to Founder/Organizer of the Rebel Joan Of Arc Chapter: ELAINE HAMLIN COLLINGS, of Montgomery, Texas.
MR. JERRY PATTERSON, Former Texas Land Office Commissioner, was Guest Speaker, and enjoyed by all.
Formal Reception followed the Historical Evening for the Recipients of the Crosses of Military Service.
