The Montgomery County Fair will welcome newcomer Jacob Stelly and 90s country favorite Sammy Kershaw to the 2025 event. 

The performers were announced Wednesday morning on the fair’s social-media channels. 

Stelly will perform April 4 and April 5 brings Kershaw. They will perform following Friday and Saturday rodeos that will take place during the fair which runs April 3-13 at the Montgomery County fairgrounds.

The concerts will be outside adjacent to the fair’s rodeo arena. 

About Jacob Stelly 

According to his bio, Stelly grew up in Liberty, Texas, and began writing songs while attending Texas A&M University in College Station. His debut album “”Moondog,” included collaborations with Slade Coulter and Conroe’s Parker McCollum. His style is considered of the Texas Red Dirt / Americana genre. 

He has tour dates in Texas and Oklahoma leading up to the summer. 

Sammy Kershaw 

According to his bio, Kershaw is a native of South Louisiana. When he was 14 he met George Jones, his lifelong idol. This led to him opening for legends like Ray Price, Merle Haggard and George Jones while still in his teens.

He has released 16 studio albums and had hits like “She Don’t Know She’s Beautiful” and more Top 10 hits like “Cadillac Style,” “Anywhere but Here,” and “Queen of My Double-Wide Trailer.” 

He was inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame in February 2010. Kershaw also played at the Montgomery County Fair in 2022. 

More about the fair 

The fair is a signature 10-day event in Montgomery County bringing together participants from across the area. The event includes youth livestock and non-livestock judging, adult division contests, entertainment on the grounds, a 10-day carnival, vendors, rodeos events, the annual Montgomery County Fair BBQ Cook-Off and a day celebrating the Hispanic family. 

Tickets are now available at the Montgomery County Fair website. Admission is charged between April 4-6 and April 11-12. 

Tickets are $10 online or $15 at the gate for ages 12 and older. Tickets for children ages 5-11 are $5. Children five and under are admitted for free.
