The Isaac Conroe Founder’s Day Celebration on Tuesday, Feb. 9th at 4pm to see who is awarded Conroe Citizen of the Year. In 2022 Larry Forestier received the award for all he does in our county to maintain historical sites, and in 2023 Susie Pokarski, Executive Director of the Young Texas Artists Music Competition received the honor. The event was moved from August after the event in 2023 due to the horrific heat. February is the birth month of our founder of Conroe, Isaac Conroe, and it seemed more fitting to celebrate his birth as opposed to his death on August 2, 1897.
Join the free celebration with the National Anthem sung by singer/songwriter Peyton Riley, a live canon, and period costumes by docents.
