New restaurants to please a variety of palates are set to premier in Montgomery County and beyond this fall.

A cheeseburger slider chain that is backed by former NFL quarterback Drew Brees, a new top-notch Tex-Mex spot in South Montgomery County and a hip Ramen spot in Bellaire that is expanding north are coming to the county this fall.

Here’s what to know about new Montgomery County restaurants opening this fall:

Smalls Sliders

In mid-September, the cheeseburger slider brand Smalls Sliders had its “can drop” in Willis. “Can” is what the brand calls their orange and brown shipping container-based locations.

Texas’ first Smalls Sliders location, will have a streamlined “slide-thru,” walk-up window and a unique modular setup. It’s at 806 W. Montgomery Street in Willis across from the Willis H-E-B. Brees is one of the investors in the chain. According to information from the company, the Willis location is set to open this month.

Founded in 2019 by Brandon Landry, the Louisiana-based chain announced that several locations in Texas are to open, including locations in The Woodlands and Conroe areas.

Also opening soon in Willis is a new McAlister’s Deli in the Willis H-E-B center. Finishing touches are taking place at the restaurant.

Nacho Padres

The new Tex-Mex spot Nacho Padres in Spring will open this month as well. It’s at 2121 Rayford Road and owned by Cisco Marquez.

The restaurant is in a new teal and black building with colorful artwork on the outside. The menu brings fajitas, taquitos, queso, roasted corn covered in sauce and spices and craft cocktails.

See the Nacho Padres Facebook page for a sneak peak at the restaurant and menu.

Kyuramen Woodlands

This ramen spot in Bellaire’s Asiatown became a bit of a social media sensation.

The chain’s second location in the Houston area opens in The Woodlands in October, where customers can expect the same bowls of noodle soups, omelets over fried rice and newer specialties like burgers swapping out buns for sticky rice patties.

It will be located in Metropark Square and near the AMC Metropark Square 10 theater, Black Bear Diner and Chuy’s in Shenandoah. It’s at 8821 Metropark, Shenandoah.

Eggs Up Grill

According to information from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, an Eggs Up Grill is planned for 2816 Interstate 45 North, Suite 500, in Conroe Marketplace on the city’s north side.

The family style breakfast and lunch restaurant is set to open in November. The first location opened in South Carolina in 1997 and there are 87 restaurants across the southeast portion of the U.S.

Father-and-son duo Chris and Kyle White will open five Eggs Up Grills in the Houston market, covering northern Houston and Montgomery County.

Pizza Twist

Also new in The Woodlands, Pizza Twist opened over the summer at 9662 Texas 242, Suite 300, east of Interstate 45. This is the only Houston-area location but others are in Dallas and Austin.

It’s an Indian-fusion pizza chain with Halal, farm fresh, spicy, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. The chain was founded in 2014 in California and has locations across the country.
