In November, Payton Riley, an emerging talent in the music industry, had the honor of receiving the Young Artist of the Year Award in the Young Adult Female category at the esteemed Josie Awards, held at the iconic Grand Ole Opry.

Standing in the legendary circle where music legends have performed, Payton delivered an inspiring acceptance speech filled with heartfelt gratitude to God and her family, including her parents, grandparents, aunts, and sister, whom she humorously noted might have preferred to be elsewhere. “Stepping into the famous circle on the Grand Ole Opry Stage has been a dream of mine. I want to be singing in that circle the next time I stand in it,” Payton shared.

Just weeks later, Payton added another accolade to her growing list of achievements by winning the Young Artist of the Year award from the Texas Country Music Association at a ceremony held at Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth Stockyards. Having won this award last year as well, she remains the youngest artist ever to receive this prestigious honor.

At only 16 years old, this talented Texas native is making significant strides in the music industry and leaving a lasting impact at such a young age. In addition to her musical accomplishments, Payton dedicates her time to volunteering with Love Heals Youth, a local organization that provides free counseling, welcome bags, clothing, and other essential services for foster children.

Looking ahead, Payton has an exciting agenda for 2025, starting with a release party for her new single at Dosey Doe Breakfast & BBQ on Feb. 13, with the single officially dropping on Feb. 14.

She is also set to star in the locally filmed movie “An Almost Perfect Day.” In April, Payton will embark on her first music tour, visiting the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Scotland. Payton shares, “I’m super excited about the music I’m dropping in 2025! I’m making tracks that are 100% me, and I’ve really shaped how they sound in the studio. I think everyone’s going to love the new music!”

Furthermore, Payton hosts Young Artist Songwriting Retreats, aimed at supporting fellow young artists on their musical journeys.
