Here’s a roundup of what is opening and closing around Conroe:

MoCo Food Hall closes

In mid July, downtown Conroe’s MoCo Food Hall abruptly closed after being open since August 2022.

The food hall was in a renovated building that has been a part of Sparkle Ice House, a glass factory and a place to store money coming off of trains that stopped on the nearby tracks in early Conroe.

As MoCo Food Hall, multiple vendors had booths with different food types all under one roof with a common gathering area in the middle.

Building owner Janese Sokulski said a new concept will be coming to the space and more details will be announced in roughly 30 days.

219 Social House closes

After opening in March in the former Martin’s Hall at 219 Simonton Street, 219 Social House shuttered only a few months after it opened.

In its place, Tx- Vintage Bar & Grill opened in early July under new ownership.

They currently have several specials including Thirsty Thursdays with 99 cent wings with $18 and $20 buckets of beer.
