While Texas may lack a winter’s chill, the Christmas spirit is warming hearts at the Conroe Noon Lions Club, where members have been bustling with holiday activities.  Though I may not rival Clement Clarke Moore, please enjoy this special adaptation of his beloved Christmas poem – a tribute to what makes CNLC truly extraordinary.
‘Twas the week before Christmas,
And from all over town, Lions gathered to share in one last holiday hoedown.
The tables were decorated and visitors, well there were many
The laughter, the hugs, the friends were a plenty
The meeting was started with the traditions we cherishÂ
The greetings, the pledges, a prayer and songs that we relish
We sang Merry Christmas to our Hometown Military Hero, Avery
We want him to know we all appreciate his bravery
Lion Andrew Garay exchanged his red badge for his blue
Maddison Perry was awarded the Lion of the Month too
Jim Sloan & Friends preformed music of joy
We crowned Karen Lonon Christmas Cowgirl and Ray Steinman Christmas Cowboy
A game was played, a winner was crowned, one last roar for the year
But don’t worry we don’t end our community service here
We have a few more things to do before the New Year arrives
Reminder (Lion Ricky) our next meeting is January 8, 2025
We will finish this years’ service handing out Christmas Baskets to some elderly in our community
We get to visit them and bring joy. Oh, what a heartfelt opportunity.
A Jingle Bell Bash at Reeves Elementary
Fun for all and Christmas Spirit is a definite guarantee
As we wind down the year, we are prepared for the next
We are excited to see who we can positively affect
For those who want to learn why The Conroe Noon Lions is all the Roar
