The Lake Conroe Area has some of the finest golf courses in the Southwest! Our natural rolling and wooded terrain, coupled with the blue waters of Lake Conroe, make these courses some of the most beautiful layouts in the world. And with the mild climate of the Gulf Coast, your golfing pleasure continues year round! The Featured Hole to the left is Walden's famous signature hole.
The Bentwater community on the North end of the lake offers two championship 18 hole courses with another coming soon. The new course will be dedicated exclusively to golfers without the usual residential development lining the greens and fairways. For more about the new course, click here.
The South end of the lake offers the highly respected Walden course, regularly rated by experts as the best course in the Houston area. Adjacent to Walden is another 18 hole golfcourse at La Torretta Lake Resort. And to the East you will find 27 holes of golf in the community of April Sound. Memberships are available here to non-community residents too!
The area also offers Wedgewood and Texas National, two great "open to the public" courses within quick driving distance. Several other golf clubs in the area offer memberships at very reasonable rates.
Practice facilities, pro shops and even golf cart sales can also be found scattered throughout the area.

| Long considered the legendary Jay Riviere's masterpiece, the Bluebonnet Country Golf Course, invites you to come play among the towering pines and magestic Oaks of the Brazos Valley. Originally opened in 1973, this 'golfer's golf course' was ahead of its time and has, until now, remained somewhat obscure for over three decades. With great attention to every aspect of the game, Bluebonnet will challenge even the best golfer. To beat this course, you'll have to use every club in your bag and all the talent you can muster. Bluebonnet was designed to test all of your golfing skills, not just the strength of your drivealthough you'll have ample opportunity to prove your mettle.
